Overview

Each trip needed about an hour of paperwork before the vehicle could leave. Now the system prepares those documents from information the company already has.

The problem

Every trip took around an hour of manual work to put the checkpoint manifests together. The papers must be correct before a vehicle can leave, and they were rebuilt by hand each time.

What we built

A system that prepares checkpoint manifests from the trip and cargo details already entered. Before departure, staff check the documents instead of writing them from scratch.

Results

• Departure paperwork cut from an hour a trip to a few minutes
• More than 90% fewer paperwork errors at checkpoints
• Manifests built from trip and cargo details already in the system
